According to the Judiciary’s Media Center, Mohseni Ejei, during his remarks at the Supreme Judicial Council meeting on Monday (November 3), referred to the issue of banking imbalance and the ongoing “Resolution” process concerning Ayandeh Bank.
He said: “Although delayed, a step has been taken on the matter of banking imbalance. Yesterday, I once again called upon some of the relevant officials involved in Ayandeh Bank’s ‘Resolution’ process and stressed that the matter must be handled with both diligence and urgency. Based on my own experience, I provided detailed and practical guidance to those responsible, stressing accuracy in execution and the prevention of potential problems and errors, and I reminded them of the gravity and importance of their task.”
The Judiciary Chief stressed: “I emphatically reiterate that in the case of Ayandeh Bank, every effort must be made to ensure that the rights of all individuals—whether employees or depositors—are fully protected and that the bank’s contractual partners face no disruption. Those found negligent or at fault in this matter will, of course, be dealt with in accordance with the law. The Attorney General must also pursue this matter diligently and issue the necessary warnings and cautions where needed. Other competent judicial authorities should likewise provide the required support, oversight, and direction.”
He continued: “We call on the Central Bank to prevent similar situations in the future so that matters do not reach such difficult, costly stages that require surgical intervention. The Central Bank must pay close attention to its duties and responsibilities in the monetary, banking, and foreign exchange sectors and take preventive measures from the outset.”
Referring to recent falsehoods and fabrications circulated by hostile actors about the Judiciary’s Protection and Intelligence Center, Ejei said: “The usurping and aggressive Zionist regime and the criminal United States have failed to achieve any of their anti-Iranian objectives. Therefore, they are now attempting to incite discord by spreading rumors and lies to disturb the minds of our people and officials and to distract us. Once again, I emphasize that we must not play into the enemy’s hands and instead remain focused on our core and priority issues. At the same time, we must not stay silent in the face of such propaganda; rather, we should engage in clear and reasoned explanation to prevent these lies from taking root in the minds of our people.”
Later in his speech, Mohseni Ejei referred to the continued detention of an Iranian researcher, Ahmadreza Beyzaei, in Turkey, emphasizing: “This Iranian university professor is the brother of martyr Mahmoudreza Beyzaei, a defender of the shrine, and he has been detained in Istanbul since February of last year and is still not released.” He instructed the Deputy for International Affairs of the Judiciary to follow up on the case.
The Judiciary Chief also noted the arrest of certain individuals and justice-seeking Iranians in countries such as France under various pretexts, including their support for Palestine.
Touching on social irregularities, he stated: “All state institutions, officials, and those who hold positions of influence—especially writers, speakers, media professionals, and broadcasters—must take stronger steps to confront social deviance and see themselves as responsible in this regard. Naturally, when such deviant behavior is promoted in an organized fashion, and when those involved have links to the enemy, the intelligence, security, and judicial bodies are duty-bound to take appropriate action.”
He further said: “The Attorney General and other relevant judicial officials must fully support intelligence and law enforcement agencies when needed, and we must all work together to control these social abnormalities.”
Ejei added: “In some cases of social disorder, individuals openly break the law and commit visible crimes in public. In such instances, law enforcement officers have specific duties, and prosecutors bear responsibility. We hope that all of us will fulfill our obligations.”
He continued: “At the beginning of 2023, I explicitly instructed law enforcement and intelligence agencies to take the necessary legal actions regarding clear cases of social disorder. I also emphasized that the Judiciary would firmly support lawful actions by these agencies. I made it clear at the time that they should act within the framework of existing laws and not wait for new legislation. I now direct the Attorney General to hold meetings with the Police Chief and relevant officials on this issue. I will personally follow up with intelligence agencies to identify organized elements and those connected to foreign enemies involved in spreading social disorder.”
In another part of his speech, marking the anniversary of the U.S. Embassy takeover and the National Day of Fight Against Global Arrogance, Mohseni Ejei stated:
“When we look at the crimes of the arrogant powers today in Palestine, Lebanon, Sudan, and elsewhere, we recognize the greatness of the Iranian nation’s action in the takeover of the U.S. Embassy on November 4, 1979. Today in Sudan, civilians are being massacred in horrific ways; in Gaza and Lebanon, despite the ceasefire declared by the aggressors themselves, they continue to bomb civilians with missiles and drones. Where are the self-proclaimed defenders of human rights? You have long claimed to defend the rights of women and children—can you not see that in Sudan today, mothers are being hanged from trees while holding their infants? Are these not crimes against humanity? Today, when the world witnesses the arrogance, rudeness, and vulgarity of the U.S. president, it becomes clear how wise the Iranian people were on November 4, 1979, when they exposed the true, predatory nature of America.”
