Gharibabadi: Mr. Nouri's elease was another defeat for Hypocrites Terrorist Group and Anti-Iranian Groups

  • Gharibabadi: Mr. Nouri's elease was another defeat for Hypocrites Terrorist Group and Anti-Iranian Groups

Referring to the action of the French government against the headquarters of the Hypocrites Terrorist Group and the release of Hamid Nouri, the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs stated: “The release of Mr. Nouri was another defeat for the terrorist group of the Hypocrites and anti-Iranian groups”.

HCHR_Kazem Gharibabadi, the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and the Secretary General of the High Council for Human Rights of I.R. of Iran, in a telephone conversation with Channel 2 of the Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting Organization, regarding the release of Hamid Nouri, stated: “Mr. Nouri was illegally in prison for nearly 5 years”. He added: “Hamid Nouri was deprived of all basic rights that a prisoner has. His indictment was not issued for nearly a year and a half because they had no evidence”.

Noting that Mr. Nouri's family had no contact with him for nearly 2 years,  the Secretary General of the HCHR said: “This is the so called human rights that the claimant countries are talking about”. Gharibabadi emphasized: “The fundamental policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to defend the rights of all compatriots abroad. Regarding the case of Hamid Nouri, several meetings were held jointly with various institutions, including various departments of the Judiciary, the Ministry of Intelligence, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Supreme National Security Council, to use our different capacities to protect our countrymen and help his release”.

Gharibabadi stated: “We always told the other party that there is no reason to keep Mr. Hamid Nouri in prison and the claims and accusations against him were raised by the Hypocrites Group who shed the blood of more than 17 thousand innocent people”.

The Secretary General of the HCHR added: “Because Mr. Nouri's arrest was a political action, logic did not govern it, but finally, after negotiations at various levels, we reached the understanding that in the framework of exchange, Mr. Nouri returns back to his family”.

Gharibabadi further thanked the Ministry of Intelligence and added: “It is true that the two exchanged persons had committed crimes and should have served their sentences, but our priority is our countrymen and if our countrymen are involved, we will even hand over two accused or convicts in exchange for one”.

The Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs also expressed his satisfaction with the release of Hamid Nouri and said: “Mr. Nouri and his family suffered a lot during this time and we will try to free our compatriots who are unjustly arrested in European countries”.

Regarding the efforts of Martyr Amir Abdullahian for the release of Hamid Nouri, Gharibabadi stated: “I was always in close contact with Martyr Amir Abdollahian and I testify that whenever one of our compatriots was caught and even smaller issues than Mr. Nouri's issue arose, Martyr Amir Abdullahian personally intervened”. He added: “He used to call our ambassador or his counterpart in the related country and use different opportunities to solve the problem of our countrymen”.

Gharibabadi also stated: “I’m sure that the pure soul of martyr Amir Abdollahian is satisfied and happy today and is watching this great success for our country. This issue is not the freedom of a countryman, but the enemies had changed Mr. Nouri's case into a case for the trial of the Islamic Republic of Iran in accusation of supporting a terrorist group, which was finally defeated”. Referring to the action of the French government against the Hypocrite Terrorist Group headquarters and the freedom of Hamid Nour, Gharibabadi noted: “These are also a defeat for the groups that try to create a gap between Iran and other countries”.

In the end, the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs emphasized: “In the case of Mr. Nouri, it is not only the freedom of a compatriot, its effects are much wider. Today, our colleagues observed the widespread repercussions of Mr. Nouri's release, and we witnessed despair and defeat in anti-Iranian individuals and groups and terrorists.
