In this meeting, Kazem Gharibabadi pointed out that the United States is at the forefront of violating the human rights of its own people and the people of other countries, and the amount of crimes committed by the United States is unprecedented. He added: “Millions of innocent people have been killed due to the intervention of the United States and the rights of women and people of color are being violated in the US. While the United States claims to be the epitome of democracy, anti-democratic practices are very prominent in this country”.
The Secretary General of the HCHR stated: “The recent example of the anti-human rights actions of the United States was related to anti-human behavior against students in this country by the US police. We must not forget the US crimes. The United States continues to support terrorist groups and unilateral sanctions against Iran”.
Calling this year's slogan of the American Human Rights Week as “Gaza, the epitome of the US black record of human rights”, Gharibabadi noted: “The programs of the American Human Rights Week will begin on the June 26. Certainly, the most important topic of the day is paying attention to the issue of Gaza and reading the true story of the unrelenting support of the United States to the Zionist regime and the countless crimes that this criminal regime has committed against the oppressed Palestinian nation”.
According to the Secretary General of the HCHR, the issue of Gaza and the crimes of the Zionist regime should still be at the top of the agenda of the American Human Rights Week.
The US regime is a supporter and accomplice of the crimes committed by the Zionist regime in Gaza
Gharibabadi emphasized: “The US regime is directly involved in these crimes, because it has supported the Zionist regime completely and in different dimensions in committing these crimes. The US has completely sided with the Zionist regime in financial, support, political, security, military, diplomatic and international dimensions”.
Gharibabadi further stated: “One of the important themes of this field is honoring the memory of the martyrs of the 27 of June 1981, the terror martyrs (nearly 17 thousand terror martyrs in the country), the victims of chemical and microbial crimes, and the victims of the passenger plane crash in the Persian Gulf. These cases will be followed up and planned through the holding of ceremonies in all centers of provinces and cities, and in the form of various topics, especially holding explanatory and enlightening and insightful meetings regarding the main nature of human rights violators”.
The head of the Central Staff of the American Human Rights Review and Disclosure Week further stated: “People should see how much anti-human rights actions have been taken by a country claiming its goal as defending human rights”.
Emphasizing that the foundations of Western human rights are not accepted by us in any way, Gharibabadi stated: “Western countries are trying to impose their lifestyle on other countries, and accordingly, they introduce priorities, norms and standards in the field of human rights to other countries, but this lifestyle and the imposition of Western human rights is not accepted by Iran and the countries of the world. We cannot accept these principles as common principles and single standards in the field of human rights”.
Special programs of the American Human Rights Week
Referring to the main programs of the Staff regarding the disclosure of American human rights, the Secretary General of the HCHR, stated: “The ceremony honoring the martyrs of the 27 of June 1981 and preserving the memory of Martyr Beheshti and the 72 martyrs of June 27, 1981 incident that coincides with the 40th day of the Martyrs of Service and a thanksgiving ceremony for the health of the Supreme Leader and the incident of his assassination will be held in the well-known mosques of the country on Wednesday, 26 June. The ceremony of perfuming and flowering the graves of the martyrs of the 27 of June 1981 and the ceremony of the 40th day of martyrdom of the President will be held in Tehran in Imam Khomeini Mosque, with the presence of various people and the ceremony of commemorating martyr Ayatollah Sadoughi will be held on Thursday, June 27.
He added: “The prayer ceremony in Behesht Zahra (PBUH) will be held on Friday, June 28; the ‘Specialized Round Table of the United States Plus 3’ will be held in Tehran, the High Council for Human Rights, on Saturday, June 29; the meeting to review American human rights with the participation of Azad University and the Islamic Develomnet Coordination Council is going to be held on Sunday, June 30; the ceremony of raining flowers on the site of the Airbus passenger plane crash in Bandar Abbas in an American missile, the ceremony to honor the martyrs and veterans of the chemical and microbial bombing of Sardasht, and the ceremony of the 40th day of Martyrdom of the late President and his companions are held in Mashhad on Tuesday, July 2.”
Gharibabadi continued: “Holding 300 conferences and insightful meetings with the view of explanation in the field of understanding the nature of the terrorist groups and how they’ve appeared, holding a series of explanation meetings and introducing human rights dimensions at the departmental level, performing anti-arrogance shows in Basij stations and mosques across the country, holding a campaign to read the wills of martyrs about the reason for enmity with the US in the virtual space, holding a ceremony to celebrate and honor 17000 martyrs of terror in all parts of the country, holding a poster and photo exhibition written by the martyr Ayatollah Dr. Beheshti and also about the crimes of global arrogance, especially the US, against humanity under the guise of defending human rights, holding numerous cultural, artistic and literary contests such as caricatures, photos, etc., with the theme of the Week of Reviewing the American Human Rights, are other programs that will be held this week”.
The Emphasis of the Supreme Leader in the field of human rights is our light
The Secretary General of the HCHR considered the media as an important part of raising awareness among the public opinion and added: “Using virtual space and social networks as an opportunity to use various tools and cultural, artistic and literary products such as special letters, publications, brochures, SMS , poetry and literary pieces in order to introduce the martyrs of the June 28, 1981, the terror martyrs and victims of chemical and microbe weapons by the evil government of the US, is one of the most important information measures in introducing the crimes of the US regime against the oppressed people of our country”.

In response to Mizan's reporter's question about the recent meeting of judicial officials with the Supreme Leader and the points raised in this meeting, Gharibabadi stated: “the Supreme Leader statements in the field of human rights are very important. The emphasis points of the Supreme Leader is our guiding light in the field of human rights. In this field, the Supreme Leader have made serious criticisms on Western human rights and he has emphasized that the principles of Western human rights should not be invoked. The West and its human rights foundations have not been able to prevent the crimes of the Zionist regime, and all Western countries are suffering from serious human rights violations. The Supreme Leader always emphasizes promoting and explaining Islamic human rights and supporting the oppressed people of the world, and everyone should act on this basis”.
In response to the ISNA reporter's question about the Canadian government calling the IRGC a terrorist, Gharibabadi said: “The IRGC is part of the official armed forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Canada's action is against the principles of international law. The IRGC is a military force that protects our national security and borders as well as the achievements of the Islamic Revolution and has played a very key role in suppressing terrorists in the region. If the countries of the region are now in safety and the ISIS terrorist group has been contained, it is owed to the actions of parts of the IRGC and especially to the blood of the martyrs, especially the martyr General Soleimani”.
Canada's action regarding the Revolutionary Guards is a completely political action
The Secretary General of the HCHR added: “Canada is the country that has committed the most anti-human rights actions against Iran after the United States. Iran has no delegation in Canada and a large number of Iranians in this country are deprived of consular services. How should Iranians in Canada vote in the presidential election? Isn't this act of Canada against human rights? Canada is a country that has both supported terrorist groups and committed human rights violations against its own people, we see every now and then crimes against humanity against Canadian people are revealed”.
He also emphasized: “Canada's action is a completely political action and we condemn it. Canada's action is a favor to the Zionist regime and terrorist groups”.
A permanent secretariat for the disclosure of American human rights is established in the Islamic Development Organization
Gharibabadi further answered the question of the reporter of Dana news agency about holding similar programs to reveal American human rights in the countries of the resistance front: “One of the resolutions of our previous meeting with the members of the headquarters was that the permanent secretariat be formed this week in the coordination council of the Islamic Development Organization. With the establishment of this secretariat, people's institutions and voluntary groups will be active in this field throughout the year”.
He added: “In this regard, capacities abroad have also been used, part of which is using the capacity of embassies and partly using the capacities of people abroad to expose American human rights”.
In the end, the Head of the Central Staff of the American Human Rights Review and Disclosure Week reminded: “The role of the media is very key to increase public awareness. The American human rights disclosure week coincides with the judiciary week and the upcoming elections. We must all be diligent in exposing American human rights and play our part in this field. A regime claiming human rights has committed numerous crimes and it should be disgraced”.
