The figures came in a joint report issued by the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees, Palestinian Prisoners Society, and Prisoner Support and Human Rights Association, Anadolu Agency reported.
According to the report, Israel continues to detain about 250 children and minors in its prisons.
While the number of women detainees stands at 45, the total number of detainees in prisons amounted to 5,700, it added.
According to the report, some 500 Palestinians are currently being held under Israel’s policy of "administrative detention", in which suspects can be held without trial or charge for renewable six-month periods.
The policy was first established by the British during the British Mandate in Palestine from 1923 to 1948.
