Mentioning the 46th session of the UN Human Rights Council, Ali Bagheri kani criticized the political approach to human rights issues saying that it does not put a simile on the lips of humanity.

"They have no hope of ending their mourning for human rights," the Secretary of High Council for Human Right wrote on his personal Twitter page.

Bagheri Kani also said that such meetings will not put a smile on the face of humankind, unless the free nations loosen the grip of imperialist states on the neck of human rights.

The forty-sixth session of the Human Rights Council will be held from today, February 22 to March 23 and will address issues such as children’s rights, the right to health in emergencies, equitable access to vaccines, combating racial discrimination, the right to access food, the right to the environment, the right to adequate housing and the strengthening the rights of the disabled.

Due to the outbreak of Covid 19 epidemic, this cycle is held online in the form of video conferencing.

The meeting is attended by UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, Michelle Bachelet, presidents, prime ministers, foreign ministers and high-ranking representatives of 150 countries.
