Exemptions granted to Iranian inmates unique

  • Exemptions granted to Iranian inmates unique

The false depictions of so-called human rights advocates about the situation of Iranian prisoners were revealed.

Human rights advocated in Western countries have long argued that the situation in Iran's prisons is deplorable, and that prisoners, especially those who have committed political crimes, are in a precarious situation.

All told by anti-Iran networks about the situation of women in prisons and also their false lamentations about the situation of those sentenced to death are all false claims that the mentioned networks have put on their agenda to disturb the public mind.

it is noteworthy that since the beginning of the corona virus outbreak, Iran has been the only country that has agreed to grant prisoners furlough and reduce the number of prisoners in prisons, and from the first days of last year and after the announcement of the corona in Iran until now Hundreds of thousands of prisoners from all prisons across the country were either released on bail or pardoned or released before their sentences expired.

According to Esmaeeli, the spokesman to the judiciary, many convicts, even those convicted of political crimes, were released and only prisoners with violent crimes have remained in prisons. According to statistics, none of the inmates in the prison had contracted the corona virus.

Following the lies told by anti-Iran groups and the so-called human rights advocates, the head of the judiciary reacted to the situation inside prisons across the country and said that we are ready to open the doors of our prisons for anyone who claims that human rights are not observed in Iran provided that we could also visit any prison we want in western countries.

Following the special attention to the situation of prisoners, Ejei, the first deputy to the Judiciary Chie also said that prisons have their own limitations and our prisoners are in better conditions than the rest of the world.

Mentoning that he believes that our situation is much better than other countries, Ejei said: "We are looking to prevent prisoners from entering the prison, and of course it is necessary for a person not to commit a crime and if they did, they should not go to prison."

During the recent visit made by the head of the judiciary to Yasuj, the doors of this prison were opened to journalists for the first time, and they were able to learn about the situation of the prisons and the inmates, he added.

The official also said that the statistics show that the situation of prisoners in Iran is much better than the situation of prisoners in other countries especially western countries and the United States.

However, as the head of the judiciary said, Iran is ready to open the doors of prisons, provided that western countries also open their prisons’ doors to Iran in order for the media to determine which prisons and prisoners are in a better situation, Ejei said.
