The first trial of 42 former members of the terrorist group MKO was held in chamber 55 of the International and Legal Court of Tehran, the High Council for Human Rights reported.

At the beginning of the hearing, Judge Pourmoridi, while announcing the formality of the hearing said that the defendants in this case are Massoud Rajavi, Maryam Rajavi, Mehdi Abrishamchi, Abolghasem Rezaei, Seyed Mohammad Seyed Mohaddesi, Majid Hariri, Mahboubeh Jamshidi, Mehdi Moradi, Mojgan Parsai, Mohammad Ali Tofighi Khaniki , Mohammad Hayati, Abbas Ali Seifipour, Hadi Roshanrovan, Alireza Jafarzadeh, Mohammad Sadegh Sadat Darbandi, Mahvash Sepehri, Azra Alavi Taleghani, Mehdi Ali Gholi, Mohammad Javad Ghadiri Modarresi, Sara Samsami and Giti Giovechian.

 

"The announcement was made through France and Albania, where the members of this group reside, after submitting the lawsuit. We acted directly on behalf of the Albanian Ministry of Justice so that they could receive the notice sent to them through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs”, he said.

  

Tavassoli, the case lawyer, said that the lawsuit has been prepared in several parts. The first part is the nature of the group as a sect and the components of forming a sect and the effects of sectarian behavior. The second part is the behavior of this group.

"The MKO group, as a violent and terrorist sect, started its armed operations against the Iranian people, including the killing of women and children in various operations and the assassination of political party leaders, such as the assassination of members of the Republican Party", the lawyer added.

 

Tavassoli said, as an example of the sectarian behavior that Massoud Rajavi declares that everyone should divorce their spouses and all family emotions should be on my side and everyone should just love me and live for me." Sexual exploitation took place for the cult leader.

 

According to Human Rights Watch, the group uses three types of prisons, Tavassoli said. The first type are small units known as guesthouses. The second type of incarceration inside the camp was called Bengal incarceration, and the third type was incarceration in which women were physically tortured.

 

The plaintiffs’ lawyer mentioned that beating with cable, hitting with Hoviyeh, beating, etc. are among the tortures that the victims of this group, who are among the plaintiffs in the case, have suffered. One of the members who had the word "mother" tattooed on his arm was forced to erase the word with hot iron.

 

 

 

During the court session, Judge Pourmoridi stated that our effort is to hear everyone speak and if there is no opportunity today, we will continue the trial tomorrow."

 

In another part of his speech, he said that our address is the international courts, the courts of France and the country of Albania because it is the right of these people to demand their complaints to be heard, and international organizations need to feel more responsible.

 

Ardeshir Darvish Kamand Soltani, Ali Moradi, Leila Ghasemi, Samad Eskandari, Fereydoun Ebrahimi, Mahmoud Dashtestani were among the plaintiffs who filed their complaints in this court regarding the criminal activities of the terrorist group MKO.
