  • Gharibabadi, Iraqi officials propose dialogue to resolve disputes

Deputy judiciary chief for international affairs in his Tuesday meetings with Iraqi officials met and conferred with Iraqi national security adviser.
 

The two sides reviewed the bilateral friendly relations between the two countries and sought ways for further strengthening bilateral cooperation.
 

Qasem al-Aaraji and Kazem Gharibabadi also both emphasized the need to hold negotiations to resolve the emerged disputes to secure both nations' interests.
 

 Both sides were agreed in the meeting on the need for détente in the region.
 

Also present in the meeting there was the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Baghdad, Mohammad-Kazem Ale-Eshaq.
 

Al-Aaraji emphasized that everyone agrees with the need for campaign against terrorism and deprive the terrorist groups of the chance to disturb the international peace and security.
 

"Terrorism is still a serious threat against the world nations and the terrorists' resources of all types must be annihilated," he said.
 

The Iraqi security official added that the Islamic Republic of Iran and the Republic of Iraq have shared concerns about the need to rid the region of all types of tensions and threats against their national securities, and therefore, we need to cooperate, especially in campaign against terrorism.
 

Al-Aaraji emphasized that the Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani's government, after their successful visit to Iran are seriously ready for broadening relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.
 

Gharibabadi, too, reiterated in the meeting that the friendly cooperation between Iraq and Iran is satisfactory and strategic, and as soon as bilateral judiciary cooperation, too, will be fruitful and constructive, then the existing obstacles in comprehensive bilateral relations, too, will be removed.
 

He, meanwhile, expressed hope that the fruitful cooperation between Iran and Iraq will expand to an unprecedented level.
 

Kazem Gharibabadi had earlier in this visit met and conferred with the Iraqi Judiciary Chief Khaled Shovani and the two sides talked on a number of fields of bilateral judiciary cooperation, including activating the already reached agreements, and signing a judiciary memorandum of understanding (MOU).
