Martyr Mohammad Ali Agharajbi's wife, referring to the trial court of the MKOs, said: “The important demand of the families of the martyrs is to pursue the trial and punishment of the members of this terrorist group”.
HCHR_ After the victory of the Islamic Revolution, the Islamic Republic of Iran has been one of the biggest victims of terrorism and a vast ground for domestic and foreign terrorist groups, and during this period, thousands of innocent people have been martyred or seriously injured by them. Meanwhile, most of the assassinations, which are examples of crimes against humanity and clear violations of human rights, have been carried out by MKO terrorist group in Iran.
In the past fourteen decades, after the assassination of the prominent characters of our country, MKO terrorist group turned to the murderous killing of Iranian citizens and innocent people, and only between the years 1983 and 1988, they martyred more than 17 thousand Iranian people whose names and documents are available.
Accordingly, considering various crimes committed by the MKO terrorist group and its main and active members and the accusations against them, the court started to investigate the accusations of the members of the terrorist group, and the fifth session of this court was held publicly on Tuesday, January 9, 2024 with the presence of lawyers and a group of families of terror victims.
In this regard, while expressing satisfaction with holding trial court for the MKO terrorist group, in an interview with the website of the HCHR, the wife of martyr Mohammad Ali Agharajbi, one of the victims of the crimes of this terrorist group, stated: “The demand of the families of the martyrs is to bring this trial to a conclusion and to prosecute the perpetrators and murderers of the innocent people of Iran”.
Regarding the martyrdom of her husband by MKO terrorist group, she added: “My husband was an employee. We constantly received letters in which he had been threatened by the MKOs to be assassinated. Finally in 1982, after chasing him from his workplace to home, they attacked our home. Six people entered our home by threatening and beating us, followed by opening fire on my husband and shooting 8 bullets in the back of his head. They killed my husband right in front of our three children, his mother and I”.
At the end, she stated: “Although this trial is being held late, it made the families of the martyrs hopeful to uphold justice. We hope that the criminal members of this terrorist group will be punished for what they have committed”.
