In a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Secretary General of the High Council for Human Rights and the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs requested to speed up the return and transfer of the Iranian child with autism to his family from Denmark to Iran
HCHR_In a letter to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kazem Gharibabadi, the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs and the Secretary General of the High Council for Human Rights of the Islamic Republic of Iran, requested the return and handover of to the welfare organizationof the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dariush Heydari is a child who is being kept in Denmark despite the opposition of his parents.
In this letter, while referring to the expulsion of the parents from Denmark without accompanying their child who is suffering from autism, Gharibabadi said: “The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has taken many measures at various levels to solve the problem of this family and reunite the child with his parents, but the Danish government has not done the necessary cooperation. The main question is, now that the parents of this child are in Iran and are no longer present in Denmark, why is the Danish government evading its obligations to reunite this sick child with his parents?”
The Secretary General of the HCHR emphasized: “Basically, even if the visa is granted to the parents of the child to attend and pursue the legal-judicial matter, putting them in trouble by referring to the Danish courts while they are in Iran is not a correct and humane action and it is also contrary to Denmark's human rights obligations”.
Referring to the correspondence by the head of the Welfare Organization of the I.R of Iran regarding the declaration of readiness and agreement to accept Dariush in one of the rehabilitation and care centers with the family, the Vice President of the Judiciary for International Affairs emphasized: “It is necessary to hand over the guardianship of the child to the Welfare Organization of the I.R of Iran. It is on the agenda of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to seriously follow up and use the available capacities to hold the Danish government accountable and to reunite this child with his family”.
