End of US aid to South Africa by Trump's order

  • End of US aid to South Africa by Trump's order

US President Donald Trump has signed an executive order to halt aid to South Africa under false pretenses.

Trump has taken this action under the pretext of a land reform law in South Africa and also the country's foreign policy. Trump recently claimed, without providing evidence, that "South Africa is confiscating land and treating some minority groups unfairly."

According to the Middle East Eye report, Trump has also taken this action under the pretext of expanding South Africa's ties with Iran and also bringing the Zionist regime to the Hague Tribunal for genocide in Gaza.

In this executive order, Trump claims that South Africa's actions in the field of foreign policy, including political and military cooperation with Iran, are a threat to the interests of the United States, its allies, and Washington's African partners.

While making accusations against South Africa, the US said: “The United States cannot support the South African government’s human rights abuses and undermining of US foreign policy.”

South African President Cyril Ramaphosa had previously said his country would not surrender to US bullying.
