During the 90s, 50 workers worked at “Haj Abdollah” factory in East Azerbaijan Province, where they produced Iranian traditional candy called “cotton candy”; now the number of its personnel has reached to 1500 including 900 workers at the factory and 600 others working in the distribution section.
Haj Samad Roohi, one of Haj Abdollah’s four sons is an exemplary entrepreneur who runs this business. “No workers are fired or fined at this factory and even they are provided with loans through a fund worth more than 1.5 billion tomans”, Haj Abdollah says.
As the pandemic broke out, 300 workers were going to be outsourced but we did not allow that to happen for we have never prioritized our own benefits during all these years, he adds.
In addition to economic activities, Mr.Roohi is a highly active participant in charity affairs although he prefers not to discuss it.
“Haj Abdollah has raised us with clean money and food and that is why his name has remained so far”, he says.
