  • Iran Vaccine Rollout Expands to School Students
High school students in Iran are in the new age group eligible for the coronavirus vaccine, as plans are under way to import 12 million doses of vaccine suitable for children and teenagers
The Iranian Health Ministry has announced that high school students at aged 17 and 18 are now eligible for the coronavirus vaccine.

Younger adolescents, including students under the age of 17 will be allowed to receive the vaccine very soon, the Ministry stated.

Meanwhile, Iran’s ambassador to China, Mohammad Keshavarzzadeh, has announced that Iran will be importing 12 million doses of COVID vaccine suitable for all ages between 3 and 17 within the next two weeks.

According to the envoy, Iran will import 60 million doses of vaccine from China within the next six weeks.

The public vaccination program against the coronavirus has gained momentum in Iran in recent weeks with a hike in the imports of vaccine.

The opening of new round-the-clock vaccination centers and inoculation of younger people are seen as the indication that life could soon return to normal for Iranians.
